Heart disease develops silently over decades. Standard cholesterol testing tells part of the story — our Advanced Cardiovascular Screen tells the whole one.
At Shilpa Davé Health, prevention should be precise, proactive and personalised. Our assessment combines a physical examination, blood pressure measurement and an ECG with advanced blood markers that reveal not just your cholesterol level, but how harmful your cholesterol particles actually are.
Watch the Short Guide

What the Screen Includes
- ApoB (Apolipoprotein B)each harmful cholesterol particle carries one ApoB molecule, giving a direct count of dangerous particles in your bloodstream. Research suggests ApoB may be more predictive of cardiovascular risk than standard cholesterol alone.
- Lipoprotein(a) — Lp(a)a genetically inherited particle that raises cardiovascular risk even when standard cholesterol looks normal. Because lifestyle change has limited effect on Lp(a), knowing your level early allows a more precisely tailored long-term prevention plan.
- High-sensitivity CRP (hs-CRP)cardiovascular disease is fundamentally an inflammatory condition; hs-CRP detects low-grade inflammation even when cholesterol results are reassuring.
- Small dense LDL particlessmaller particles penetrate artery walls more easily and are more likely to form dangerous plaques than larger LDL particles.
- Ten-year cardiovascular risk scorecalculated using validated clinical tools, incorporating age, blood pressure, smoking status, diabetes, cholesterol, ethnicity and family history.
Why It Matters
A "normal" or "abnormal" label isn't enough. We assess inflammation, particle number, particle size, genetic influence and overall cardiovascular probability together — moving you from reactive treatment to intelligent, personalised prevention. Cardiovascular disease is largely preventable when risk is identified early and addressed strategically.
Frequently Asked Questions
It's a comprehensive heart health assessment at Shilpa Davé Health combining a physical examination, blood pressure check and ECG with advanced blood markers — ApoB, Lipoprotein(a), high-sensitivity CRP and small dense LDL — plus a ten-year cardiovascular risk score. This is included in our comprehensive and platinum health screens.
Standard cholesterol testing measures total cholesterol, HDL and LDL levels. This screen adds particle number (ApoB), particle size (small dense LDL), inherited risk (Lp(a)) and inflammation (hs-CRP), giving a far more complete picture of cardiovascular risk.
ApoB is a protein found on every harmful cholesterol particle. Measuring it gives a direct count of dangerous particles in the blood, which many researchers consider more predictive of cardiovascular risk than cholesterol level alone.
Lp(a) is largely genetic and can raise cardiovascular risk independently of standard cholesterol. As it isn't significantly changed by diet or lifestyle, testing it early helps shape a more targeted, long-term prevention plan.
Anyone wanting a proactive, detailed understanding of their cardiovascular risk — particularly those with a family history of heart disease, borderline standard results, or a strong interest in long-term prevention.
