Dr Catherine Glass
Dr Catherine Glass is an experienced clinician, medical leader, and educator with over 15 years of practice as both an NHS and private GP across London and the Southeast of England. She has worked across routine and urgent care, providing patient-centred, high-quality consultations both in person and remotely. Catherine has particular expertise in family medicine, dermatology, men’s health, and preventative healthcare, and values building lasting, trusted relationships with patients and their families.
After growing up in Surrey, Catherine studied medicine and an intercalated degree in Pharmacology at Liverpool University before beginning her GP career in London in 2010. She went on to become a GP Partner in Islington and later moved into the private sector, joining a digital healthcare start-up where she spent six years helping it grow into a successful SME. In this role, she developed significant expertise in medical leadership, service development, and clinical delivery, shaping innovative models of primary care.
Alongside her clinical work, Catherine serves NHS England as a Senior Appraiser, mentoring and supporting GPs at all stages of their careers. She is also an experienced educator, presenting at national digital healthcare conferences, delivering teaching via online platforms, and supervising colleagues in clinical practice. She frequently contributes to media discussions on patient care and health issues, and hosts the European Medical Journal Podcast, where she interviews medical and surgical specialists from around the world.
Outside of medicine, Catherine enjoys an active lifestyle. She has completed the London Marathon and an Olympic triathlon, and loves running with Winston, the family’s energetic Hungarian Vizsla dog. She treasures time with her wife, young daughter, extended family and friends, and enjoys travelling, good food and wine, all things BBC and having a groove on or off the dance floor!
